Job Description

Roundtable Learning is expanding its Immersive Learning team in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and seeks an XR Developer to drive the creation of interactive AR, VR, and MR experiences. This full-time role focuses on delivering multi-platform learning applications that engage learners across devices in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Participate in internal and client-facing project meetings to align on objectives and expectations.
Own assigned projects to ensure quality development and on-time delivery.
Collaborate with a team of developers, 3D artists, and instructional designers to share ideas, address obstacles, and craft solutions.
Configure Unity projects for the target delivery platform, including necessary packages and SDKs.
Write clear, well-documented C# code with inline comments and supporting documentation for custom classes and methods.
Break down SDKs through demo projects and online documentation when building for unfamiliar hardware.
Adapt to tight deadlines and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Work within existing code structures while designing new components to improve processes and functionality.
Address partner technology challenges by applying knowledge of capabilities, implementations, and limitations.
Develop applications across platforms including Android, iOS, Windows, Mac, Oculus, Pico, HTC, WebGL, and more.
Learn about and share information on new and upcoming technologies.

Requirements

A passion for creating and exploring innovative XR experiences.
Experience with Unity, with strong knowledge of Unity 2022.x or newer.
Proficient in C#, capable of demonstrating core OOP concepts via sample code.
Experience using OpenXR and Unity's XR Interaction Toolkit.
Working knowledge of the Universal Render Pipeline.
Self-motivated with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
Experience profiling and optimizing Unity applications using built-in and external tools.
Proficient with Git and GitHub for version control.
Ability to collaborate with learning and visual designers to translate concepts into XR features and a polished experience.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational skills and design sensibilities.
Excellent communication abilities.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or equivalent experience with demonstrated documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to develop AR using Image Target Recognition, Object Recognition, and Plane Detection for mobile devices and wearables.
Experience with Netcode for Game Objects.
HaptX device integration and other specialized peripherals.
Experience publishing to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Basic familiarity with 3D modeling tools such as Blender or Maya.
Solid understanding of rigging and animation in Unity.
System-level machine vision and machine learning for AR.
Ability to leverage AI tools to boost development efficiency while maintaining core C# expertise for validation, debugging, and architectural work.
