Android Developer

Robotics Technologies is seeking an experienced Android Developer for a 12-month, onsite contract in Mount Laurel, NJ. The role centers on delivering sophisticated Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, while exploring Kotlin Multiplatform and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ship features that meet high standards for quality and performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Work with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) to enable cross-platform capabilities where appropriate.
• Implement iOS applications using MVVM architecture, adhering to Clean Code and Clean Architecture principles.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and manage dependencies with modern tooling.
• Write unit tests to ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Familiarity with mobile CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks.
• Troubleshoot and debug using Charles Proxy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX, to define, design, and ship new features using Jira.
• Utilize version control systems such as GitHub and SourceTree to manage codebases.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of software development experience focused on Android application development.
• Knowledge of iOS development is preferred but not required.
• Expertise in designing and building advanced applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP).
• Ability to implement iOS applications using MVVM architecture, adhering to Clean Code and Clean Architecture principles.
• Proficiency in integrating RESTful APIs and using dependency management tools.
• Capability to write unit tests to ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Familiarity with mobile CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks.
• Troubleshooting and debugging experience using Charles Proxy.
• Experience with version control systems such as GitHub and SourceTree.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX teams, to define, design, and ship new features using Jira.
