Full Stack Java Developer

Matlen Silver is hiring a Full Stack Java Developer for a 12-18 month contract in Charlotte, NC (hybrid). The role supports development and delivery work across backend services, modern front-end features, and mobile application exposure. Candidates must be available for an in-person interview as part of client requirements.

This position offers $60-65/hour W2 and includes health, vision, and dental insurance with options for single and family coverage, plus a 401(k) plan with employee contributions only. The client requires USC or GC candidates, and the pay scale is not available for C2C or 1099.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain web applications using Java, REST APIs, and front-end development with React.js
• Work with Node.js as part of hands-on full stack development
• Support deployments and operational needs across application servers, including Tomcat and WebSphere
• Develop and integrate data access using JDBC and SQL
• Contribute with mobile application development exposure, including familiarity with Swift and/or Objective-C and mobile app release workflows
• Participate in CI/CD-related efforts, including Jenkins and production deployment support (plus experience)

Requirements

• 5+ years of mobile application development experience
• Strong experience with Java, REST API development, React.js, and Node.js
• Hands-on deployment and support experience with Tomcat and WebSphere
• Good working knowledge of JDBC and SQL
• Working knowledge of Swift and/or Objective-C, including iOS/Android services and mobile app releases
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins and production deployments is a plus
• Banking or financial services experience is preferred
