Job Description

Mid-level full stack engineer to deliver features end to end on a proprietary in-house platform, from database changes through deployment.

Responsibilities

Own feature delivery from ticket to production: database schema, REST API, React front end, tests, and deploy
Work in an AWS environment using established practices such as infrastructure as code, proper secrets management, least-privilege access, and monitoring
Build and maintain data pipelines that ingest from external APIs and bulk government data feeds
Improve and maintain daily user-facing search using full-text and faceted search across datasets with millions of records
Handle bug triage and fixes in your platform areas, including reproducing issues from incomplete user reports
Develop background jobs and event-driven processing for alerts and feed updates
Review teammate code and write documentation to support cross-functional troubleshooting
Provide estimates you can stand behind and surface delivery slippage early

Requirements

4+ years of production full stack engineering using Node.js and React
Working experience with AWS
REST API design experience including real authentication and authorization
Depth with a relational or document database
Git-based workflow and code review habits
Comfort working on a small team with light process and high ownership
Experience breaking production at least once, with the ability to explain what was learned
Problem-solving approach that seeks help at hour three, not day three, when blocked
Competent use of AI coding tools: direct, verify, and review AI-assisted work

Strong experience in at least two

Search technology: Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, or comparable full-text and faceted search
Data ingestion / ETL: consuming external APIs and bulk feeds with error handling for sources that stop working without notice
Background jobs and event-driven processing: queues, schedulers, workers

Responsibilities

Identifying, implementing, and managing efficient, scalable, and reliable data pipelines and monitoring systems
Developing deep intuition for Green Courte and its platform investments’ data to rapidly create new data assets or augment existing assets to give business insight into key operational areas

Requirements

Experience using Airflow to orchestrate complex data pipelines
