Tableau Developer

Contract Tableau Developer role in Astyra Corporation's Information Technology Division, based in Raleigh, NC (hybrid), with an hourly rate of USD 55 - 57.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and provide ongoing support for the Tableau server product, allocating about 25% of the role to platform operations.
• Establish and sustain a centralized Tableau Center of Excellence, coordinating internal user groups with key business stakeholders and delivering Tableau training to staff.
• Consult on content development, focusing on turning BI data into actionable dashboards and reports, approximately 25% of the role.

Requirements

• Tableau experience required: 2 years
• Tableau Server administration in an enterprise environment required: 1 year
• Data modeling, data warehousing, dashboard development, and report design
• Knowledge of Tableau development practices, techniques, and standards required: 7 years
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong problem-solving abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Familiarity with data management processes, SQL, SaaS, and related technologies
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
• Preferred: Tableau experience 2 years; Business Intelligence experience 4 years

Additional Requirements

• Must have data modeling experience including best practices and impact analysis
• Knowledge of data warehousing data modeling and the development of dashboards and report design concepts
• Experience with installation, configuration, and support of Tableau Server and associated Tableau client products
• Expertise in dashboard and report development using Tableau
• Expertise with Tableau BI Product Suite as an administrator and developer
• Strong ability to interface and communicate effectively with business representatives
• Ability to directly interact with key internal customers effectively
