Job Description

GA Telesis, LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, integrate, and support secure enterprise applications in a hands-on, practical technical leadership role. This position is based on-site in Fort Lauderdale, FL, with a strong focus on modern web development, Oracle and PL/SQL, API engineering, Quantum Control ERP technical ownership, and AI-enabled automation.

You will take ownership across the full application lifecycle, partnering with business teams and multiple enterprise systems to deliver reliable capabilities used in MRO, inventory, sales, procurement, finance, logistics, and customer-facing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support business-critical applications across MRO, inventory, sales, procurement, finance, logistics, and customer-facing operations.
  • Own the application lifecycle from requirements through production, with clear documentation, robust error handling, and sustainable architecture.
  • Build maintainable user experiences using JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks such as React, with reusable components, organized repositories, documented interfaces, and consistent design patterns.
  • Apply front-end best practices including accessibility, responsive design, state management, and performance optimization.
  • Develop secure REST APIs and service layers connecting Quantum Control ERP, Oracle databases, DocuWare, ILS, Aeroxchange, Smart145 ERP, Salesforce, and other enterprise platforms.
  • Support read and controlled write-back workflows with authentication, versioning, validation, idempotency, logging, and secure error-handling patterns.
  • Design integrations for long-term maintainability by reducing one-off connections in favor of reusable, documented enterprise services.
  • Create and optimize SQL and PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, views, and transactional logic to support business rules and ERP data integrity.
  • Apply least-privilege access, schema separation, controlled migrations, index strategies, execution plan analysis, and AWR/ASH performance tuning.
  • Administer Oracle Database instances underlying Quantum Control ERP, including instance management, user and schema administration, tablespace and storage management, backup and recovery, patching, and environment management across dev, QA, and production.
  • Enhance and support Oracle APEX applications, including Dynamic Actions, Interactive Grids, Shared Components, security schemes, ORDS services, and APEX Office Print workflows.
  • Build new APEX pages and components that integrate cleanly with the Oracle database layer and enterprise REST services.
  • Act as the technical IT owner for Quantum Control ERP by troubleshooting application-layer errors, managing configuration, coordinating with Quantum support on escalated issues, and owning ERP data integrity.
  • Partner with MRO, FSG, finance, and procurement business teams to translate workflow requirements into database schema changes, stored procedures, or configuration updates.
  • Maintain documentation for Oracle DB architecture, schema design, user roles, and ERP configuration to support business continuity.
  • Build production-grade document extraction and workflow automation using LLM APIs (Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic), OCR, structured outputs, vector search, RAG pipelines, confidence scoring, human-in-the-loop validation, and auditable exception handling.
  • Design extraction pipelines for aviation records (8130 airworthiness certificates, repair orders, PO invoices, and parts traceability records), writing structured results into Oracle and Quantum ERP.
  • Collaborate with external AI delivery partners (SZNS Solutions) and leverage Google Cloud Platform services (BigQuery, Vertex AI, Cloud Storage) to build reliable, scalable AI workflows.
  • Assist with leveraging Oracle AI Vector Search and Oracle 23ai generative AI features as they mature within the Oracle stack.
  • Troubleshoot incidents across application, API, database, and integration layers, perform root-cause analysis, improve observability, and deliver sustainable fixes.
  • Own Oracle DB environments across dev, QA, and production, managing patching, upgrades, and environment refreshes in coordination with IT leadership.
  • Establish monitoring, alerting, and runbook practices that reduce mean time to detection and resolution.
  • Coach junior and mid-level engineers through structured code reviews, pair programming, design sessions, debugging walkthroughs, and knowledge transfer.
  • Set and model engineering standards for source control, branching, pull request quality, testing practices, security hygiene, documentation, and deployment controls.
  • Lead technical design discussions for new features and integrations, helping the team evaluate architectural trade-offs.
  • Foster continuous learning by sharing knowledge of Oracle, AI/LLM, and integration patterns through documentation and internal sessions.
  • Provide IT leadership with honest input on capability, skill gaps, and development priorities.
  • Work with business leaders, end users, vendors, infrastructure, security, and data teams to clarify requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Communicate technical decisions clearly to non-technical stakeholders and bridge IT and business without losing accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • 7+ years of professional software development experience, including direct ownership of production applications and complex integrations.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers, leading code reviews, improving engineering practices, and guiding technical design decisions.
  • Oracle Database administration experience covering instance management, schema and user administration, backup and recovery, tablespace management, performance monitoring, patching, and environment management.
  • Ability to analyze and tune Oracle DB performance using AWR/ASH, execution plans, and index strategies.
  • Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills including packages, procedures, functions, cursors, exception handling, and transactional logic.
  • Familiarity with Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) for database-native REST APIs.
  • Hands-on experience administering or technically owning an enterprise ERP system (Quantum Control, SAP, Oracle EBS, Syspro, or equivalent) from the IT side.
  • Ability to troubleshoot ERP application errors, manage configuration, and liaise with ERP vendors on escalated technical issues.
  • Experience translating business workflow requirements into ERP configuration changes, database schema updates, or stored procedure logic.
  • Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills and production experience with a modern web framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Experience designing and consuming REST APIs with authentication, validation, versioning, error handling, logging, idempotency, and secure write-back patterns.
  • Experience with Git-based delivery, peer review, automated testing, and controlled promotion across development, QA, and production.
  • Proven ability to mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, technical coaching, pair programming, and structured knowledge sharing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical decisions clearly to technical teammates and non-technical business stakeholders.
  • Experience setting or contributing to engineering standards across code quality, documentation, testing practices, and deployment workflows.
  • Relevant professional certification is preferred or expected within the first 12 months based on assigned responsibilities.
