Staff Software Engineer - AI Trainer

DataAnnotation is seeking a Staff Software Engineer - AI Trainer to help advance AI model training by designing a portfolio of coding problems and providing clear, well-documented code examples. This contract role, based in Quincy, MA with remote work options, offers flexible scheduling and a chance to influence future AI systems by evaluating AI-generated code and supplying actionable feedback.

Responsibilities

• Design and solve a range of coding problems used to train AI systems.
• Write clear, high-quality code snippets accompanied by detailed explanations.
• Evaluate AI-generated code for accuracy, performance, and readability.
• Provide feedback that directly shapes the next generation of AI models.

Requirements

• Fluency in English (native or bilingual level).
• Proficiency in at least one of the following languages or frameworks: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, Kotlin, or Swift.
• Excellent writing and grammar skills.
• Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress).
• Previous experience as a Software Developer, Coder, Software Engineer, or Programmer is preferred.
