Sr Software Engineer - AWS full stack
Job Description
GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in AWS full-stack development to design cloud-native applications, scalable APIs, and modern Vue.js front-end experiences. The role emphasizes infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and cross-team collaboration to deliver reliable cloud solutions. This position is based in Ohio with remote options and offers a yearly salary range of USD 93,000 to 124,000.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and maintain cloud-native applications on AWS.
- Develop and manage scalable APIs, microservices, and backend systems.
- Build modern, responsive front-end applications using Vue.js.
- Architect and implement solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, Secrets Manager, PARAM store, API Gateway, and Step Functions.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, architects, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Integrate front-end applications with backend APIs and cloud services.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
- Ensure application performance, scalability, reliability, security, and usability.
- Implement infrastructure as code using tools such as CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform.
- Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and drive root-cause resolution.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and promote software engineering best practices.
- Support cloud cost optimization, observability, and operational excellence initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience, OR an Associate degree with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, OR a High School Diploma with a minimum of 7 years of professional experience
- Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
- Legal authorization to work in the United States is required. GE Aerospace will not sponsor employment visas for this role.
