This permanent, full-time Software Engineer role supports research programs on-site in Columbia, Maryland, contributing to software engineering efforts for the Aegis Display Subsystem. The position requires US citizenship and an active DoD secret clearance, along with hands-on experience with Kubernetes tools and modern development practices in a Linux environment.
Role Overview
In-Depth Engineering Corporation is hiring a Software Engineer (Kubernetes) for an on-site position in Columbia, MD 21046. The role involves designing, developing, integrating, and testing software solutions, writing object-oriented C++ and Java code on Linux, and working within an agile environment. The engineer will also participate in peer review and customer-facing technical communication as appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare software engineering design documentation.
- Use modern software development tools within an agile environment to design, develop, integrate, and test software solutions for the Aegis Display Subsystem.
- Develop object-oriented C++ and Java code in a Linux environment.
- Prepare and present engineering materials in the peer review process and to the customer as appropriate.
- Travel to customer site locations to support investigation, testing, or integration of software fixes.
- Apply demonstrated experience with Kubernetes tools and processes.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen with an active DoD secret clearance.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- 1+ years of experience.
- 1+ years of professional C++ experience.

Compensation
The salary range for this role is USD 85,000 - 100,000 per year.
