Software Engineer Full Stack

RiverForest Connections Private Limited is seeking a Software Engineer - Full Stack to own the core marketplace flows for our fast-growing hospitality platform in New York. This onsite role emphasizes end-to-end execution, architectural evolution, and a strong focus on quality and observability, with compensation ranging from USD 160 to 180 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Own Core Marketplace Flows: design, build, and deploy full-stack features across high-traffic transactional journeys such as Search, Details, Booking, and Post-booking.
• Drive End-to-End Execution: lead the full lifecycle of scoped features, coordinating UI work, robust API contracts, data model design, instrumentation, analytics, and rapid iteration.
• Advance Architectural Patterns: contribute pragmatic, high-quality patterns to a modern codebase, optimizing web performance, data fetching, caching strategies, and error handling.
• Elevate Quality & Observability: collaborate with backend and senior architects to raise engineering standards through testing discipline, thorough code reviews, and proactive monitoring of dashboards, alerts, and tracing.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional engineering experience building and scaling production web or mobile applications.
• Proven ability to work autonomously with a Ruby on Rails backend and craft elegant frontend experiences in a React/TypeScript ecosystem.
• Strong fundamentals in building resilient APIs and optimizing database schema design and basic query performance.
• Focus on user experience details, frontend performance metrics, and a drive to measure real-world product outcomes.
• Excellent code quality practices, strong testing discipline, readiness for production operations, and a collaborative mindset that contributes positively to a high-performing team.
