Software Engineer Analyst - AI Trainer
Job Description
DataAnnotation is seeking an existing Software Engineer Analyst - AI Trainer to support the training of AI models through hands-on coding work. This contract role blends problem-solving, code evaluation, and written explanations to help improve how models generate accurate, clear software solutions.
In this position, you will design and solve coding tasks used for AI training, then assess AI-generated code for quality and usefulness. Your feedback will contribute directly to iterative improvements in the next generation of AI technologies.
What you’ll do
- Design and solve a range of coding problems used to train AI systems.
- Write clear, high-quality code snippets and detailed explanations for training materials.
- Evaluate AI-generated code for accuracy, performance, and clarity.
- Provide feedback that shapes the next generation of AI models.
What you’ll bring
- English fluency (native or bilingual level).
- Proficiency in at least one of: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, Kotlin, or Swift.
- Excellent writing and grammar skills.
- A bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress).
- Previous experience as a Software Developer, Coder, Software Engineer, or Programmer is preferred.

Contract details

- Compensation: USD 50 to 100 per hour
