Software Engineer Analyst - AI Trainer

DataAnnotation is seeking a Software Engineer Analyst to join its AI Trainer initiative in a contract capacity. This fully remote role centers on designing and solving coding problems that train AI systems, crafting clear code samples with explanations, and evaluating AI-generated code to help shape the next generation of AI models. The position is based in Costa Mesa, California, with flexible scheduling available to eligible applicants.

Responsibilities

• Design and solve diverse coding challenges used to train AI systems.
• Write clear, high‑quality code snippets accompanied by thorough explanations.
• Evaluate AI-generated code for accuracy, performance, and clarity.
• Provide feedback that directly influences the development of future AI models.

Requirements

• Fluency in English (native or bilingual level).
• Proficiency in at least one of the following languages or frameworks: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, Kotlin, or Swift.
• Excellent writing and grammar skills.
• A bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress).
• Previous experience as a Software Developer, Coder, Software Engineer, or Programmer is preferred.
