Job Description
Leidos is seeking a Software Engineer to support a long-term DIA-NDOC DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP) contract in Bethesda, MD (onsite). In this role, you will lead an application team focused on delivering continuous software enhancements and deployments, while executing Python microservices and related engineering work.

Responsibilities
- Develop, test, debug, and maintain Python-based microservices in line with established requirements and design specifications.
- Build and maintain integrations with Elasticsearch to enable real-time and batch indexing and querying.
- Write and run unit and integration tests to support software quality, reliability, and performance.
- Contribute to technical design discussions, code reviews, and software development planning.
- Use logging and observability tools to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and operational issues.
Requirements
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field, plus 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Must have an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility, and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Experience developing software applications using Python.
- Experience with containerization technologies.
- Experience developing and troubleshooting in a Linux environment.
- Experience using Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively with a cross-functional team.
Helpful skills
- Familiarity with DGX systems.
- Elasticsearch certifications or other relevant certifications in the technology stack.
- Experience supporting production or enterprise-scale software systems.
- Familiarity with or experience developing applications that leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) or Agentic AI.

Pay range: $87,100.00 - $157,450.00 per year
