Software Engineer

Mintive builds the same platform it sells, including agent-powered systems that help deliver real product value to enterprise customers. In this onsite role in San Francisco, CA, you will own features end to end across gateway infrastructure, enterprise deployments, and agentic systems, with a security-first mindset and the opportunity to work with agents built using Claude and Codex.

Responsibilities

• Own features end to end, from conception through production, spanning gateway infrastructure, enterprise deployments, and agentic systems
• Build a better UI when the product needs it
• Fix connectors that break during a security review
• Shape the solution by making architecture, product, and UX tradeoffs
• Harden enterprise paths and strengthen reliability across critical flows
• Design connectors and protect security-sensitive surfaces
• Catch generated code that is quietly wrong
• Ship within hours, leveraging agents that write much of the code and review PRs, while you keep quality and correctness high

Requirements

• A track record of , including product work, internal tools, open source, or serious side projects
• The ability to ship, then iterate without waiting for specs or approvals
• Strong fundamentals and a fast learning curve
• A focus on product value and customer needs over technical purity
• A serious approach to infrastructure
• Thoughtful risk thinking: blast radius, trust boundaries, and what happens when your code is on the path of every customer’s agents
• Comfort reading unfamiliar code, reasoning from first principles, and explaining tradeoffs
• Comfort across the stack using TypeScript, Python, and CockroachDB, or the ability to pick up new languages, protocols, and domains quickly
• Excitement to build with agents, including learning when they help and when they hide problems
• Experience building with AI already, with interest in moving without heavy process
