Software Engineer

Priority-1 Inc. is hiring a Software Engineer to support a growing software development team building a transportation and logistics technology platform. The position focuses on end-to-end web application development using the Microsoft stack, with front-end JavaScript frameworks, REST APIs, and cloud deployment and support in Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end development for web-based applications using the Microsoft technology stack.
• Build and maintain front-end functionality using a JavaScript framework such as Angular, Vue, or React.
• Design and implement REST APIs for external and internal use.
• Develop data access using Entity Framework with MSSQL, aligned with relational database design practices.
• Support deployment and operational needs for cloud-based solutions in Microsoft Azure.
• Evaluate and implement CQRS-related patterns using Azure services such as Azure queues, Azure Functions, and/or Azure WebJobs (a plus).
• Review and analyze user stories, communicate effectively, and ship quality code on a rapid cadence.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience developing in the Microsoft stack, using the latest versions of .NET, with web-based applications using ASP.NET MVC.
• Experience with Entity Framework and MSSQL, along with general knowledge of relational database design and development.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with a front-end JavaScript framework such as Angular, Vue, or React.
• Hands-on experience building REST APIs for both external and internal use.
• Experience deploying and supporting cloud-based technology in Microsoft Azure.
• Basic knowledge of AI tooling, including awareness of coding benefits and risks of over-reliance.
• Ability to analyze user stories, communicate effectively, and deliver high-quality code quickly.
• Education: BS in Computer Science, MIS, or a similar field, or equivalent experience and education.
