Job Description

Wired360 Inc is hiring for a 1-year contract role supporting customer engineering teams. This remote position focuses on building network software that helps customers design, deploy, and operate advanced infrastructure across data center, campus Wi-Fi, wide area networks, and service provider environments. If you enjoy turning automation into measurable efficiency, you will work on frameworks, customizations, and tools that make network operations smoother for teams inside and outside the company.

In this role, you will contribute to network automation initiatives, develop customer-facing software solutions, and support collaborators with tooling that improves productivity during deployment, migration, and ongoing operations. The work blends software engineering fundamentals with practical networking knowledge, delivered through a strong engineering workflow and modern toolchain.

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative frameworks for customers by applying network automation techniques.
  • Design and implement solutions that enable customers to deploy and operate advanced networking infrastructure.
  • Build software tools that help internal and external collaborators work more productively when deploying, migrating, and operating networks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Expertise with version control systems (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g., PyTest).
  • Understanding of IP networking and/or distributed systems.
  • Experience with Unix or Linux.
  • Comfortable working across all phases of the software development life cycle.
  • Applied understanding of software engineering principles.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and ability to work in a team environment.

Technologies

Desirable

  • Experience with CI platforms (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins).
  • Familiarity with container technologies (e.g., Docker, Podman, Kubernetes) and orchestration with tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
  • Familiarity with Nautobot or Netbox.
  • Familiarity with Itential Automation Platform.
  • Experience with datacenter networking, management, and orchestration.
  • Past experience with Arista EOS, Cisco IOS, or JUN OS.
  • Experience building third-party software integrations and APIs.
  • Experience working in a customer-facing role.

Location: Remote

Compensation: USD 13,600 - 15,200 per month
