Job Description
BlueMatrix is hiring a Software Engineer to build and maintain client-facing components within a system transitioning from a retreating monolith to an expanding micro-services architecture.
Responsibilities
- Scale the platform to handle increasing global demand
- Deliver solutions that meet regulatory compliance requirements in new regional markets
- Productionalize and roll out new market-validated features
Requirements
- 3 to 6 years of working experience on a development team (minimum 3 years)
- Proficiency in Java, with comfort adopting new technologies
- Experience delivering reliable, high-performance REST APIs
- Strong interest in database and query performance tuning
- Experience with Snowflake
- Understanding of scrum/agile development methodologies
- Experience with code reviews, service ownership, fully automated testing, micro-services, and rapid/continuous releases
- Experience working with AWS or equivalent
- Comfort with on-call support and interacting directly with clients when needed
- Experience mentoring junior developers
- Aptitude for learning quickly, with confidence and humility to ask clarifying questions
