Job Description

Senior full-stack TypeScript software engineer with DevOps experience to design and build a loan origination system for a financial services enterprise.

Location: Arlington, VA (remote) · Salary: USD 120,000 - 150,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Design and build a loan origination system using Node.js, Apollo GraphQL, Angular, Camunda, and a suite of AWS components including but not limited to EKS, Lambda, S3, MSK, and Aurora. The components are primarily backend systems, but some frontend development will be needed.
  • Work with tech leads and the product team to help determine functional requirements for the system.
  • Contribute as member of an Agile team and promote Agile practices
  • Proactively collaborate with the team on development and knowledge sharing

Requirements

  • Senior-level experience building GraphQL servers, including defining schemas, implementing resolvers, and producing GraphQL APIs.
  • Experience implementing GraphQL federation or federated graph architectures across multiple services.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript for backend or full-stack development.
  • Experience consuming GraphQL APIs on the client side using tools such as Apollo Client or similar.
  • Experience developing server-side applications with Node.js.
  • Hands-on experience deploying or supporting applications in AWS environments.
  • Experience developing frontend applications using React or Angular.
  • Ability to design and optimize GraphQL schemas and queries to ensure efficient data fetching between frontend and backend services.
  • Experience collaborating across frontend and backend teams to support scalable GraphQL-based architectures.
