Job Description

The Software Development Engineer, based onsite in Pine Brook, NJ, is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, testing, and evaluating software, with additional logistics responsibilities for the distribution center.

Responsibilities

  • Apply the principles of software engineering to design, develop, maintain, test, and evaluate computer software that provide business capabilities, solutions, and/or product suites.
  • Provide systems life cycle management (e.g., analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.) to ensure delivery of technical solutions is on time and within budget.
  • Research and support the integration of emerging technologies.
  • Engage with migrations of ERP systems that are ongoing or prospective.
  • Provide knowledge and support for applications' development, integration, and maintenance.
  • Develop program logic for new applications or analyze and modify logic in existing applications.
  • Analyze requirements, tests, and integrates application components.
  • Ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented.
  • May focus on web/internet applications specifically, using a variety of languages and platforms.
  • Define application complexity drivers, estimates development efforts, creates milestones and/or timelines, and tracks progress towards completion.
  • Handle incoming requests and logging/routing within ticketing system
  • Password Resets: AD Accounts, email accounts, ERP access, etc.
  • Configuration assistance: Printers, browser settings, OS settings, update settings, etc.
  • Analyze and form recommendations for escalation of issues to Level 2/3
  • Perform all other duties as assigned, assist with other departments routinely, such as order processing, purchasing follow-ups, tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with various departments.
  • Bachelor Degree in relevant field
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office suite programs

Compensation

Hourly rate: USD 25 - 35 per hour
