Job Description

Mid-level software developer with an active Secret clearance is sought to build and enhance front-end user interfaces using React in a hybrid remote role in Maryland.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve front-end UIs with React, including hooks, functional components, and state management patterns
  • Architect, build, and maintain back-end services
  • Create responsive UI components that follow UI/UX best practices and integrate with design systems
  • Apply modern design patterns and leverage UI frameworks, notably React
  • Develop, test, and deploy code in Linux or Windows Subsystem for Linux environments
  • Work with containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Author and execute automated UI tests
  • Collaborate in an Agile setting and participate in code reviews

Requirements

  • U.S. citizen
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience
  • Proficient in C++ and Java
  • Hands-on React-based front-end UI development experience
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining APIs
  • DevSecOps knowledge, including Agile practices and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps), plus Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with automated testing tools
  • Proficient with IDEs such as VSCode, Eclipse, or NetBeans
  • Experience developing, building, and debugging in Linux/WSL
  • Practical experience with AWS services
  • Hybrid remote work arrangement based in College Park, MD

Compensation

  • Pay rate: $105.88 per hour on W2 (DOE)
  • Contract length: 12 months or longer
