Job Description

MANTECH is seeking a Software Developer for an onsite role in Annapolis Junction, MD. This position focuses on Python-based backend development, RESTful API work, and collaboration across software delivery and deployment activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the design, engineering, analysis, and development of software systems.
  • Support the design, analysis, and development of Software Delivery processes, including DevOps pipelines.
  • Participate in Software Development and Deployment processes.
  • Serve in a junior capacity across IT application development activities.
  • Take direction from more senior personnel and collaborate with other Software Developer roles.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code for backend services and web application logic.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate them with front-end systems.
  • Use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build responsive, interactive web applications.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant software development experience, including internships or academic projects.
  • Proficiency in Python, including writing scripts and backend applications.
  • Experience using Git for source control and collaboration.
  • Some understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience with basic relational databases.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with TypeScript to enhance JavaScript applications.
  • Experience building React components and managing state.
  • Experience containerizing applications using Docker.
  • Exposure to Ansible for automating server configurations and deployments.
  • Basic experience with Linux system administration.

Clearance Requirements
