Software Developer

MINT dentistry is hiring a Software Developer in Dallas, TX (onsite) to design, build, and maintain software that supports clinical and administrative operations, with Claude-based development at the core and strict HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy web applications, internal tools, and integrations for MINT Dentistry’s clinical, operational, and administrative teams
• Use Claude as a primary development tool to plan features, generate and refactor code, write tests, debug issues, and produce documentation
• Review, validate, and take full ownership of AI-assisted code to ensure it meets standards for quality, security, performance, and maintainability before release
• Build and maintain integrations connecting practice management, scheduling, billing, and communication platforms to streamline workflows across offices
• Develop AI-powered features and automations using the Claude API, including patient communication tools, document processing, and internal reporting assistants
• Partner with department stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and provide clear progress updates
• Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and follow applicable laws, regulations, and company policies to safeguard protected health information in every system built

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience, with a portfolio or work history showing shipped, production-quality applications
• Demonstrated, substantial experience using Claude to create software, including:
  • Effective prompting
  • Agentic coding workflows with Claude Code
  • Building applications on the Claude API
• Proficiency in modern web development, such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, React, and Node.js
• Experience with relational databases, REST APIs, and cloud platforms
• Experience working with sensitive data in a regulated environment; healthcare and HIPAA experience is highly preferred
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and priorities
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered
