Siemens NX Postprocessor & Machine Simulation Developer

Overview

Swoosh Technologies is seeking a skilled Siemens NX Postprocessor and Machine Simulation Developer to design, develop, and support custom postprocessors and fully integrated machine tool simulation kits (ISV/MTS). This role ensures accurate G-code output, safe machine programs, and turnkey implementations for manufacturing customers. You will partner with application engineers, machine tool builders, and end users to translate machining requirements into robust, production-ready post and simulation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and customize Siemens NX postprocessors using Post Configurator, Post Builder, Post Hub, and TCL
• Implement advanced multi-axis machine logic for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling, turning, and mill-turn
• Build support for controller-specific functions including TRAORI, Cycle800, Tilted Work Planes, TCP, probing cycles, and user-defined machines
• Create and maintain custom UDEs, macros, and event-driven logic
• Debug and validate G-code output for Siemens 840D, Fanuc, Heidenhain, Mazak, OSP, and other major CNC controllers
• Design and build complete Siemens NX MTS simulation kits including kinematic chains, channels, tool carriers, and machine models
• Integrate machine CAD/JT assemblies into NX simulation
• Configure G-code-driven simulation, collision sets, limits, and real controller cycle behavior
• Validate machine movements and kinematics for accuracy and safety

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years developing Siemens NX postprocessors (or equivalent CNC post platforms)
• Strong understanding of Siemens NX CAM machining operations and tool path methods
• Advanced knowledge of CNC controllers such as Siemens 840D SL, Fanuc, Heidenhain, Okuma, and Mazak
• Proficiency in TCL, scripting logic, and event-based post development
• Solid understanding of machine tool kinematics, including rotary axes, pivot points, and TCP/RTCP
• Experience building Siemens NX Integrated Simulation and Verification ISV/MTS kits
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Self-motivated requiring little direction
• Some travel necessary
• NX CAM: 5 years (Required)
• NX Post Configurator or Post Builder: 3 years (Preferred)
• CNC Programming: 3 years (Required)
• Language: English (Required)

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $95,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
