Compensation: USD 150,000 - 175,000 per year

Location: Onsite in Newport Beach, CA

Sweet James seeks an experienced Senior Web Developer to lead the design, development, and optimization of the firm’s websites and digital assets. This role drives web initiatives across multiple properties and collaborates with marketing, security, analytics, and technology teams to support growth and impact.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain, and optimize the firm’s websites, microsites, landing pages, and digital assets
• Lead front-end and back-end development efforts across multiple web properties and business units
• Ensure sites are functional, responsive, accessible, and deliver strong user experiences on desktop and mobile
• Architect scalable website infrastructure to support high traffic and lead generation campaigns
• Maintain code quality, version control, testing standards, and deployment processes
• Collaborate with Marketing to create high-converting landing pages and UX
• Support SEO, local SEO, technical SEO, and overall site performance initiatives
• Integrate websites with CRM systems, lead management platforms, analytics tools, and marketing automation technologies
• Improve conversion rates through A/B testing, behavioral analytics, and user journey analysis
• Monitor performance metrics and recommend enhancements to boost engagement and lead conversion
• Ensure compliance with security, privacy, ADA accessibility, and data protection standards
• Implement and maintain security protocols, monitoring tools, and vulnerability mitigation
• Monitor uptime, page speed, and infrastructure performance
• Manage backups, disaster recovery procedures, and system updates
• Collaborate with internal teams, agencies, vendors, and partners on web initiatives
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, frameworks, and tools for scalability and efficiency
• Document development standards, workflows, and technical procedures
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and digital team members when applicable
• Manage Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, conversion tracking, and related reporting platforms
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools to measure website effectiveness and marketing ROI
• Leverage data-driven insights to identify opportunities for growth and optimization
• Support special projects related to digital transformation, automation, and emerging technologies
• Stay current on industry trends, web technologies, SEO developments, and digital marketing innovations
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum 5-8 years of professional web development experience
• Experience managing enterprise-level websites with high traffic and lead-generation goals
• Advanced proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, REST APIs, WordPress and custom CMS development
• Experience with website hosting environments, DNS management, SSL certificates, and cloud infrastructure
• Strong understanding of SEO best practices and technical optimization
• Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and conversion tracking platforms
• Experience with Git and modern development workflows
