Senior Staff Numerical Algorithm Software Engineer

Join SciTec in Boulder, CO onsite to build and refine low-latency numerical algorithms for remote sensing exploitation and tracking.

Responsibilities

• Explore and evaluate new algorithms and analysis approaches for remote sensor data exploitation
• Prototype and integrate capabilities for Kalman filtering, tracking, and data exploitation in a collaborative Agile environment
• Develop and tune Kalman filtering, tracking, and data exploitation algorithms using Python and C++
• Characterize algorithm and sensor-system quality and performance
• Contribute to shared tooling and collaborate with an Agile team
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in the physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science
• At least 5 years of ongoing professional experience in technological fields (additional years of education may substitute for years of experience)
• Experience with state estimation, tracking, or Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC)
• 2+ years of academic or professional experience in C++ and Python
• Fluency with Linux operating systems
• Detail oriented
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work full-time in-person in the Boulder, CO office location

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional experience with application orchestration and/or deployment to the cloud

• Professional experience with exploitation and analysis of OPIR, E/O, SAR, Spectral, RF, or other remotely sensed data

Compensation

• Pay range: USD 127,000 - 157,000 per year
• SciTec considers factors including role responsibilities, candidate experience, and education/training when extending an offer of employment
