Senior Software Engineer - .NET

Tyler Technologies is seeking a Senior .NET Software Engineer for its Maryland Enterprise team in Annapolis, MD (onsite), translating complex business needs into web-based solutions across the full SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship customer-facing web applications with a focus on quality.
• Maintain and improve a distributed cloud platform running on AWS.
• Develop and containerize .NET applications for deployment to AWS.
• Support and mentor junior engineers through direct guidance.
• Collaborate with engineers, engineering management, designers, and project managers to design and architect solutions.

Requirements

• Care about scalable, robust, and well-tested code.
• Operate as a full stack engineer, working across the stack as needed; senior level requires at least 4 years of experience.
• Have significant frontend experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; currently using Vue, React, and bootstrap.
• Develop secure .NET C# containerized applications that run on AWS.
• Own systems end to end, including design, testing, deployment, metrics, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Help other engineers succeed through both code contributions and direct mentorship.
• Experience with databases including MS-SQL (relational) and NoSQL stores; bonus for Elasticsearch and AWS experience.
• Experience converting .NET Framework to .NET containerized applications.
• Development of Java is a plus.
• Comfort working in a heterogeneous environment with multiple languages and technologies.
• Ability to solve the problem, not just address symptoms.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Enjoy working closely with business, infrastructure support, and development teams.
