Kentucky State University is seeking an Enterprise System Developer to help streamline university operations through automation, APIs, and reporting. In this onsite role in Frankfort, KY, you will support and enhance the Ellucian Banner ERP System and its integrations, while building new solutions that make it easier for end users to leverage technology.
What you’ll do
The Enterprise System Developer is responsible for automating business processes and creating API-driven solutions that connect systems. You will also design and deliver custom reporting capabilities using the appropriate reporting tools and business intelligence approaches.
- Build ERP process automation and API solutions using relevant programming languages
- Create reporting solutions using various reporting tools
- Use application tables and file structures to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues
- Develop end user documentation and technical documentation covering development and functional knowledge
- Create project plans that include detailed steps and estimates using project planning software
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Participate in continuous performance improvement meetings to improve processes and standards
- Assist with maintaining and supporting the Banner ERP System and associated integrations
- Work with application vendors as needed
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
What you bring
- Experience with relevant development tools, applications, and system architecture
- Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects at one time
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new languages, frameworks, and technologies
- Experience using common development practices and SDLC
- Comprehensive technical knowledge of information technology and computer science, including experience with a variety of programming
- Detail-oriented approach with good written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer service attitude and willingness to work in a team-oriented environment
- 4 years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree
Tools and technologies
You will work with the Ellucian Banner ERP System, APIs, ERP, business intelligence, reporting tools, application tables, file structures, and project management skills, including project planning software.
