Senior Software Developer in Test (Kafka/Confluent)

Precision Systems is seeking a Senior Software Developer in Test to lead testing efforts around the Kafka and Confluent Platform, emphasizing test automation, API testing, and CI/CD integration within a modern event-driven environment. This is a fully remote position requiring alignment to ET hours in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans and test cases with clear traceability to requirements.
• Develop and maintain automated tests and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply established software testing methodologies across functional, integration, regression, and system testing.
• Collaborate in Agile teams using Git for version control.
• Ensure secure testing practices and assess code quality, performance, and reliability.
• Quickly learn and apply modern data and event-driven technologies.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing and executing test plans and test cases with traceability to requirements.
• Strong background in test automation and CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Proficiency in functional, integration, regression, and system testing methodologies.
• Experience with Git and collaborating in Agile teams.
• Understanding of secure testing practices and ability to validate code quality, performance, and reliability.
• Aptitude for rapidly learning and applying modern data and event-driven technologies.
• The role is remote but requires willingness to work ET hours within the United States.
