This role offers a competitive annual salary in the range of USD 85,800 to 117,975, and is an onsite position in Newport News, VA. Riverside Hospital Services provides an opportunity to lead Sitecore development within the Web team and contribute to enterprise-scale projects.

Overview

The Senior Sitecore Developer serves as a technical leader within the Riverside Hospital Services Web team and acts as a subject matter expert for supported systems. They leverage Sitecore to create templates and components, help expand in-house development capabilities, and support standard practices for Agile development, code reviews, coding standards, DevOps, change management, test-driven deployment, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead code reviews and mentor other developers, communicating complex technical concepts clearly to developers, managers, and stakeholders while listening to understand others' perspectives.
  • Write and unit test code, document it, and deploy it. Manage multiple assignments with attention to detail and strong time-management; apply expertise in programming methodology and web infrastructure; work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Define problems, generate and evaluate alternatives, and implement efficient solutions. Demonstrate strong debugging and troubleshooting to resolve application errors promptly.
  • Adhere to policies, coding standards, Agile practices, and SDLC best practices; follow governance procedures for development efforts.
  • Commit to deadlines and deliver tasks on schedule, maintaining punctuality.
  • Collaborate effectively with teammates, managers, stakeholders, contractors, and agencies; cultivate trust and respect; lead onboarding of new employees or agencies on supported systems.

Requirements

  • Permanent residence in one of the following states: FL, GA, ID, KS, KY, MS, NC, OK, SC, SD, TN, VA.
  • Sitecore Experience Solution Developer Certification (10.x or higher)
  • Bachelors Degree, Computer Science or related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a team lead
  • 7-10 years experience in project analysis and hands on application development
  • 5-6 years technical proficiency with .NET, Sitecore 9.x or higher, C#, SQL, MVC, JSON, and AJAX
  • 5-6 years hands on experience implementing new templates, components, and responsive web pages/sites for Sitecore
  • Proficiency in Next.js and modern front-end development, with a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles
  • Development experience using Sitecore JSS for headless CMS implementation
  • 5-6 years extensive experience with requirements gathering, prototyping, designing, coding, testing, deploying and supporting enterprise applications on production systems
  • Database experience with SQL Server, creating SQL database objects such as stored procedures, queries, views, and functions
  • Coding experience with the creation and consumption of REST based services

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Microsoft DevOps CI/CD (Preferred)
  • Cloud infrastructure experience with Azure or AWS as IaaS/PaaS (Preferred)
  • Practical experience in an Agile environment using SCRUM or Kanban (Preferred)
  • Experience using project management tools such as JIRA and incident management tools like ServiceNow (Preferred)
