Job Description

Delta Systems is seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer for a fully remote role focused on designing, building, launching, and maintaining web applications for multiple clients in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop clean, maintainable Ruby on Rails code that meets project requirements
  • Document code and architecture to support long term maintainability
  • Write and maintain tests to ensure code quality
  • Perform peer code reviews to improve overall code quality
  • Participate via webcam in regular stand-up and sprint planning sessions
  • Maintain regular hours and accurately track time and work
  • Proactively learn new skills and tackle problems with a self-directed mindset
  • Stay informed about security considerations and best practices
  • Collaborate with teammates, requesting and providing support as needed
  • Deliver on expectations and strive to exceed them

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building web applications with Ruby on Rails
  • Excellent proficiency with CSS, SASS, and LESS
  • Strong command of modern JavaScript
  • Strong Git proficiency
  • Experience with Claude or Codex
  • High attention to detail
  • Empathy for users
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort with the Unix command line
  • Fluent English and eligible to work in the United States
