Senior Python Developer

Senior Python Developer role at Leidos (Kudu Dynamics), onsite in Chantilly, Virginia, focusing on moving an IoT security solution from the lab to customers, with duties spanning security research, software development, and collaboration with data sources and partners.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose issues in the deployed application and ensure reliable operation
• Onboard new users and manage user access and permissions
• Proactively identify and evaluate new data sources and technologies to meet program needs
• Serve as the main liaison for current and prospective data sources and technology partners
• Coordinate technical exchange sessions and collect, catalog, and organize data information
• Assess security restrictions and access controls to maintain compliant operations

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship with an active TS/SCI clearance and Counter-Intelligence Polygraph
• At least four years of Python development experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or a related field
• Strong scripting capabilities (Python and shell scripting)
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration tools (Nomad, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm)
• Proficient in Python software development
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible)
• Experience delivering solutions on AWS
• Experience with system monitoring, introspection, and visualization tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack)
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD
• Experience working within an Agile Scrum development team
• Database administration or development experience with PostgreSQL or similar
• Experience supporting full stack solutions including RESTful APIs and an Angular based web UI
• Experience with networking protocols (TCP, UDP, HTTPS, TLS)
• Experience with user management and onboarding new users
• Knowledge of Twelve-Factor App methodology
• Linux system administration experience
• Self-starter with minimal supervision and a proactive, results-driven mindset
