Senior Java Full Stack Developer

DND Technologies LLC seeks a Senior Java Full Stack Developer to support the Maryland State Department of Education’s OSCNP on an agile AWS cloud platform, delivering comprehensive Java-driven solutions for local food procurement and the school meal supply chain across Maryland's LEAs. The role encompasses front-end UI development, back-end service integration, RESTful API consumption, and DoIT-standard system design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create and integrate sophisticated Java based solutions using the recommended frameworks and technologies.
• Convert application requirements into web applications and connect system components through REST, SOAP, EJB, and other Web Services.
• Develop and maintain front-end interfaces with Angular, JavaScript, jQuery, and JSON data structures.
• Write back-end logic that communicates with external systems, APIs, and services.
• Implement business rules and logic; develop shell scripts to support operational tasks.
• Contribute to code reviews and adhere to test driven development across the software development lifecycle.
• Produce System Design Documents per DoIT standards, including architecture, ER diagrams, full data dictionary, processing logic, and external interface definitions.

Requirements

• At least eight years of experience designing and building applications using Java, Python, JavaScript, Node.js, and Angular.
• Minimum of three years developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE, JPA, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and EJB.
• Experience with CI/CD tools Maven and Jenkins, Git for version control, and application servers JBOSS and Tomcat.
• Knowledge of concurrent application design and Spring component architecture.
• Shell scripting experience and unit testing with code coverage.
• Oracle Certified Professional – Java SE 8 is required.
• Bachelor's degree is required; Master’s degree in CS, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
