Senior AI Developer

Amtelco is looking for a Senior AI Developer to design, develop, and implement AI-powered applications and systems. In this hybrid role, you will integrate machine learning models and algorithms to address practical business challenges, collaborating with teams across the organization to turn requirements into reliable production solutions.

You will be based in McFarland, WI (hybrid remote), supporting AI initiatives that span model development, data preparation, deployment, and ongoing performance monitoring.

What you’ll do

• Design, build, train, and fine-tune machine learning and deep learning models and algorithms for tasks such as natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, and predictive analytics
• Collect, clean, preprocess, and analyze large datasets to support high-quality, well-annotated data for model training
• Deploy AI models into existing software systems and applications, commonly through APIs and cloud platforms to maintain seamless functionality and user experience
• Monitor AI system performance, run testing, and debug issues to support reliability, scalability, and efficiency in production environments
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and stakeholders, to define project requirements, align AI efforts with business goals, and explain complex technical concepts clearly
• Stay current with AI technology, frameworks, and industry trends, then propose and implement improvements and innovative solutions

Qualifications

• Associate degree required, with educational focus in computer science, artificial intelligence, or a related technical field
• 5 to 8 years of relative experience
• Strong proficiency in Python, Java, C++, and/or R
• Solid understanding of ML algorithms, neural networks, and deep learning architectures
• Experience with AI frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn
• Familiarity with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for model deployment
• Deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, critical thinking, creativity, and excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Experience in healthcare and contact center environments is helpful
• AI Development: 5 years (Required)
