Job Description
Canon U.S.A., Inc. invites qualified professionals to join as a Semiconductor Trainer - Course Developer in San Jose, onsite. This full-time role offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,310 to 103,770 per year, with up to 50% travel and ample opportunities for hands-on training development, learning, and customer impact. You will design practical training on photolithography systems, build comprehensive lesson plans, and maintain the San Jose training facility as part of a collaborative team dedicated to technical excellence and client success.
Responsibilities
- Deliver user training on Photolithography products at Canon facilities and at customer sites.
- Lead classroom and laboratory sessions for internal and external customers, covering operation, preventive maintenance, applications, and installation of the equipment.
- Create new internal and external technical training materials and update existing content to keep it current and accurate.
- Verify the accuracy of technical procedures to support field service technicians and customer requirements.
- Present technical topics in clear, detailed sessions for diverse audiences.
- Oversee operation and maintenance of the San Jose training facility and equipment, including site preparation.
- Participate in discussion groups to share knowledge and raise the skill level of less experienced colleagues.
- Contact customers to assess training needs and gather feedback on programs and systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience, with 3 to 5 years of related work experience.
- Knowledge of semiconductor equipment and maintenance is preferred; familiarity with photolithography equipment is a plus.
- Prior experience as a technical trainer is preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 50% within the United States; valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required, with compliance to company safety policies as an essential function.
- Flexible shifts may be required.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
