Python Software Engineer Level 2 or 3

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Aurora, CO is hiring a Python Software Engineer at Level 2 or Level 3 to develop Python software (with Rust experience) in an Agile, Linux-based environment, requiring an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility; salary ranges from USD 91,800 to 171,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Perform Python software development within an Agile, Linux-based environment.
• Leverage Rust experience to contribute to relevant project work.
• Engage in Agile processes and participate in sprint activities.
• Align work with the Software Development Lifecycle and quality practices.
• Travel up to 10 percent of the time as needed.

Requirements

• Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility at time of application.
• Level 2 options: Bachelor's degree in science with 2+ years of software development experience; or 0+ years with a Master's; or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Level 3 options: Bachelor's degree in science with 5+ years of software development experience; 3+ years with a Master's; or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Proficiency in Python programming with thorough understanding of the language.
• Experience with Rust.
• Familiarity with Git workflows on platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
• Demonstrated success with Agile processes.
• Experience working in a Linux environment.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Travel: 10 percent of the time.
