Full-time, in-house backend web developer to support an established eCommerce website, responsible for building new features, refactoring legacy code, debugging, and maintaining performance on a live production site.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain server-side functionality with PHP, PDO, and MySQL
Optimize the codebase and markup for performance and scalability
Collaborate with internal teams to design and deliver robust features
Own assigned projects to ensure on-time delivery
Write clean, secure, and well-documented code
Integrate with third-party REST APIs and external libraries

Requirements

Proficient with the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
Expert knowledge of PHP and PDO
Deep understanding of MySQL including Views and Triggers
Experience debugging with xDebug
Strong understanding of cURL
Experience using Git
Familiarity with third-party libraries and integrations
Solid experience with jQuery and jQuery AJAX
Proven eCommerce development experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
