Oracle Integration Cloud Developer

Horizon Hobby, LLC is seeking an experienced Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Developer to design, build, and operate enterprise integrations that connect Oracle Cloud Applications with external systems. This full-time role, based in Champaign, Illinois with a hybrid work arrangement, offers a salary range of USD 130,000 to 140,000 per year and requires a bachelor’s degree along with at least five years of integration experience.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement OIC integration flows that link Oracle Cloud Applications such as ERP, SCM, Order Management, Financials, and WMS with on-premises systems and external partners.
• Develop both event-driven and scheduled orchestrations, including complex data mappings, robust error handling, and recovery paths.
• Configure and manage a broad set of OIC adapters, including REST, SOAP, FTP, Salesforce, payment gateways, and custom adapters.
• Design process automation workflows using OIC Process Cloud for human-centric tasks.
• Develop Visual Builder Cloud Service applications integrated with OIC and Oracle Cloud Applications.
• Implement API management practices, covering security policies, rate limiting, and developer portals.
• Build resilient error-handling and notification schemes featuring retries, escalation paths, and resubmission processes.
• Tune performance for high-volume integrations through batching, parallel processing, and asynchronous patterns.
• Collaborate with Oracle Cloud Applications functional teams to ensure integrations align with business workflows.
• Provide ongoing production support, including incident response and root-cause analysis.
• Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date technical documentation such as architecture diagrams, design decisions, configuration references, runbooks, and operational procedures to keep the system maintainable and easy to onboard new engineers.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to internal integration patterns and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of five years of hands-on integration experience with substantial work in Oracle Integration Cloud.
• Solid experience with Oracle Cloud Applications data models and APIs across ERP, SCM, Order Management, Financials, and WMS.
• Experience developing REST and SOAP web services.
• Working knowledge of Visual Builder Cloud Service and Process Cloud Service.
• Familiarity with API management concepts and Oracle API Platform.
• Strong scripting skills in Groovy and JavaScript, plus SQL proficiency.
• Experience with security standards such as OAuth2 and SAML.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation abilities.
