Job Description
The Mobile Developer II role at INVID encompasses designing, building, and maintaining native and cross‑platform mobile applications with a focus on scalable, secure, and high‑quality solutions. The position is based in San Juan, Puerto Rico on a hybrid schedule, offering a salary range of USD 52,000 - 64,000 per year and requires a Bachelor's degree.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain mobile applications using React Native along with native iOS (Swift/Objective‑C) and Android (Kotlin/Java) technologies.
- Connect apps to RESTful and GraphQL APIs to enable seamless backend communication.
- Utilize on‑device storage options such as SQLite, Realm, or AsyncStorage for local data persistence.
- Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms, including OAuth, JWT, and biometric methods.
- Contribute to the full mobile release lifecycle, publishing to Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, project managers, and other technical teammates.
- Employ Git workflows in a team setting and adhere to established development processes.
- Add push notifications, manage background tasks, and optimize applications for performance and resource efficiency.
- Apply mobile security best practices, including data encryption and secure storage.
- Develop using architectures such as MVVM, MVC, or Clean Architecture, following design patterns and SOLID principles.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
- Leverage CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployments.
- Work with monitoring and crash reporting tools such as Crashlytics or App Center.
- Ensure accessibility and responsive design standards are met across devices.
- Deliver complete, maintainable features within timelines while enhancing app performance and user experience.
- Reduce production issues through thorough testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
- Prepare and maintain high‑quality technical documentation.
- Proactively propose technical improvements, tools, and process optimizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Professional experience in both native and cross‑platform mobile development.
- Strong knowledge of React Native, iOS native (Swift/Objective‑C), and Android native (Kotlin/Java).
- Experience integrating APIs, securing mobile apps, and working with mobile databases.
- Familiarity with cloud services such as Azure, AWS, or Firebase.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies and Git‑based collaboration.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
