Job Description

Sonsoft Inc is seeking a MicroStrategy Developer to join its data-centric team on-site in St. Louis, Missouri. The role centers on data warehousing and BI concepts, delivering substantial MicroStrategy development within an Agile environment, and includes translating BRDs into technical plans and estimating work for both development and migration projects.

Responsibilities

  • Minimum four years of hands-on experience with Data Warehousing projects (data warehouses, data marts, and reporting).
  • More than four years of MicroStrategy development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing and BI concepts.
  • Experience contributing to development projects within an Agile framework.
  • Proficiency with MicroStrategy 9.x, including Architect, Desktops, Mobile and Web, Report Services, Narrowcast Server, OLAP services, Intelligent Server, schema objects, Command Manager, and Object Manager; familiarity with Integrity Manager and optional SDK.
  • Extensive track record in creating MicroStrategy reports, cubes, advanced dashboards and visualizations, with a focus on performance optimization.
  • Hands-on experience writing Freeform SQL for MicroStrategy with complex joins.
  • Experience analyzing or supporting BRD preparation and translating BRDs into technical specifications.
  • Involvement in design and data modeling, with the ability to provide estimations for development or migration efforts.
  • Valid MicroStrategy certifications, CPD and CRD minimum.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience implementing MicroStrategy on Netezza or Teradata.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • At least four years of experience in Information Technology.
