Lead Software Engineer

Lead Software Engineer position in Plano, TX (onsite) with GTN Solutions LLC, offering USD 150,000 - 160,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable full-stack features using Node.js, React, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Develop RESTful APIs and reusable React components with cross-browser compatibility.
• Provide architectural direction, applying best practices in coding, testing, and documentation.
• Collaborate with design, product, and QA teams to gather requirements and deliver on schedule.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, conducting regular one-on-one sessions to support growth.
• Own technical projects, set timelines, and communicate progress to stakeholders.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with expertise in microservices, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL.
• 2+ years with MongoDB or Redis and with messaging systems such as Kafka or MQ.
• Proficiency in Node.js, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB/Redis.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), DevOps practices, and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• In-depth knowledge of database design, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and unit and end-to-end testing.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills to diagnose issues and convey technical concepts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
