Job Description

Fort Worth onsite contract role to build, enhance, and debug iOS and Android mobile applications for client projects.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance and debug large-scale applications for a well-known client

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 years of experience (Junior to mid-level)
  • Android: at least 1 years experience with Java and Kotlin
  • Android publishing: at least 1 application published to the Play Store
  • Android knowledge: strong understanding of Android SDK, handling different Android versions, and adapting to different screen sizes
  • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
  • Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and libraries for common tasks
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android apps to back-end services
  • Comfortable with Git and source control
  • Work independently with strong self-management and time management; maintain a strong work ethic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • iOS: proficient with Swift and Objective-C (knowledge and hands-on) plus Cocoa Touch
  • Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data and Core Animation
  • Experience with Design Patterns including MVC and Singleton
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs for iOS back-end connectivity
  • Familiarity with 3rd party API integrations such as Facebook, Dropbox, Instagram, Twitter, GoogleDrive, Bluetooth, Keychain, etc.
  • Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards
  • Understanding of Apple design principles and interface guidelines
  • Knowledge of low-level C-based libraries is preferred
  • Experience with performance and memory tuning using tools such as Instruments and Shark (depending on project needs)
  • Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
  • Ability/knack for benchmarking and optimization
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, Mercurial, or SVN
  • Familiarity with continuous integration
  • Must be willing to relocate depending on client assignment
  • Ability to work well in a team environment

  • Annual salary range: $60k to $85k (varies by experience)
