Job Description

The Senior Java Full Stack Developer will be based on site in Boston, MA, contributing across the full technology stack with roughly 30 percent front-end work and 70 percent back-end development, from UI requirements through to the database and ORM layer.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Business Analysts to interpret requirements and translate them into design and implementation plans
  • Develop source code according to specifications
  • Create unit test cases and participate in quality assurance activities
  • Support functional and system integration testing, and assist with deployment
  • Integrate component designs across modules
  • Provide production support as needed and adhere to development timelines

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Java and J2EE with experience in multi-threading using core libraries such as the Executor framework
  • Experience with Spring, Spring MVC, Hibernate, and MyBatis
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful web services
  • Familiarity with application servers and platforms such as JBoss, Apache, Tomcat, and WebSphere
  • Strong skills in Java, JavaScript, JSP, CSS, and HTML
  • Knowledge of AJAX techniques and modern JavaScript libraries like jQuery
  • Experience with XML, XSLT, and JSON
  • Solid understanding of SQL database design and stored procedures
  • Ability to develop cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions
  • Sound awareness of non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, maintainability, and security

Role and Work Setup
