iOS Application Developer

The iOS Application Developer at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store will design, build, and maintain the Cracker Barrel iOS app from our Nashville, TN onsite location. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, designers, and external APIs to deliver robust features and high performance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-disciplinary teams to scope, design, and implement new features for the Cracker Barrel iOS app.
• Coordinate with designers to ensure the UI and UX reflect Cracker Barrel's brand guidelines.
• Integrate external APIs and data sources to deliver dynamic content and capabilities within the application.
• Write unit tests to verify robustness, covering edge cases, usability, and overall reliability.
• Continuously assess and adopt new technologies to improve development efficiency.
• Ensure applications meet performance, quality, and responsiveness standards.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and resolve defects.
• Contribute to code quality, organization, and automation efforts.
• Ongoing monitoring of app performance and user feedback to pinpoint improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in iOS app development with at least one published native iOS application.
• Understanding of iOS accessibility standards and best practices.
• Experience with cloud messaging APIs and push notification integration.
• Proficiency in Swift and Objective-C programming languages.
• Experience using iOS frameworks.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services.
• Solid understanding of version control tools, such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of app security and data protection practices.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
