Intermediate Full Stack Java REACT Developer

ERP International, LLC is seeking an Intermediate Full-Stack Java and React Developer to support the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) on an Agile DevSecOps team focused on IT modernization. This hybrid role in Laurel, MD blends hands-on development with collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver secure, tested software over a multiyear modernization program.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an intermediate full-stack Java/Spring Boot developer supporting a React-based UI.
• Engage in the full agile lifecycle to develop microservice APIs with Java Spring Boot for a React frontend.
• Apply working knowledge of Postgres and Redis for relational and NoSQL data needs.
• Develop automated unit tests using JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber.
• Collaborate on Agile Scrum teams to deliver user stories and write usable code with minimal supervision.
• Support acceptance testing, load testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning as required.
• Foster cross-functional teamwork and participate in functional testing and incremental feature development.
• Uphold development standards, promote best practices, and participate in regular code reviews.
• Communicate clearly with team members, management, and customers in both written and oral form.
• Interface with customers and external teams to explain application functionality and behavior.
• Present committed stories for upcoming sprints to backlog owners and stakeholders and demonstrate functionality when complete or upon request.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Java and Spring Boot development.
• Deep knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and React.
• Experience building software in microservice-based architectures.
• 2+ years of experience developing React web applications.
• 2+ years of experience using Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• 2+ years of experience delivering DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Must be located in the Laurel, MD area to travel to office or customer as needed.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline plus four (4) years of related experience; or eight (8) to twelve (12) years in software development without a degree.

Compensation

Salary: USD 110,000 - 140,000 per year

Location & Travel

• Hybrid remote in Laurel, MD with telework options
• Must be in the Washington, DC, Baltimore MD, Northern Virginia area to travel to office or customer as needed
