Government and Public Sector - Service Delivery Center - Microsoft Senior Developer

The Senior Developer role within EY’s Government and Public Sector Service Delivery Center focuses on delivering Microsoft stack solutions for federal clients from the San Antonio area, employing agile practices. The position requires eligibility for a DoD Secret clearance and may involve travel of 20 to 30 percent or more.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to elicit and analyze requirements, ensuring the final product aligns with business objectives.
• Design and implement user interfaces that prioritize usability and overall user experience.
• Write clean, maintainable code and create specifications that support business goals.
• Contribute actively to the design of software components and architecture.
• Leverage experience to translate requirements into concrete technical designs and actionable tasks.
• Communicate effectively with teammates, clients, stakeholders, and executives to ensure alignment.
• Provide estimates for assigned tasks to support planning and delivery efforts.
• Independently produce high-quality, simple, reliable, and scalable code.
• Analyze and resolve moderate to complex issues during development and support, documenting results clearly.
• Participate in whiteboard sessions and impact analyses to identify improvements in the development process.
• Quickly learn new client information and translate data modeling, process modeling, and revision control concepts into practical work.
• Apply a solid understanding of agile delivery and development methodologies to daily activities.
• Utilize proficiency in application development tools and quality assurance practices to ensure robust outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance
• 5+ years of relevant software development experience
• Extensive knowledge of C#, SQL, JavaScript, and HTML
• Experience with JavaScript UI frameworks such as React or Angular
• Experience integrating with external systems
