Fullstack Java Developer

IDR, Inc. is hiring a Fullstack Java Developer for a remote contract role based in Eagan, MN. This position is expected to last one year, with potential extension, supporting healthcare-focused initiatives across the full application lifecycle.

You will build and maintain end-to-end solutions using Java and modern web frameworks, working within Mayo’s VDI environment for development and testing.

Role summary

• Develop and maintain Java/Spring Boot/Hibernate applications with Angular on healthcare projects.
• Support end-to-end design, testing, validation, and deployment activities.
• Work in Mayo’s VDI environment for development and testing.
• Expected engagement length: one year, potential extension.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full stack Java applications using Spring Boot, Hibernate, Angular, and Claude/Codex AI.
• Contribute to healthcare-related projects, supporting end-to-end design, testing, validation, and deployment.
• Use Mayo’s VDI environment for development and testing.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful implementation of features and functions.
• Participate in application testing, verification, and documentation throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field with 5 years of experience, or an Associate’s Degree with 7 years of experience.
• Project experience working on healthcare or similar applications with full stack development, including testing and verification.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and Claude/Codex AI.
• Experience with end-to-end application design, testing, validation, and deployment.
• Demonstrated experience working on large healthcare applications using these technologies.
