Full-Stack E-Commerce Developer

VSE Aviation Inc is seeking an experienced full‑stack E‑commerce developer to design, build, and maintain custom software tools that underpin our business and technology needs. This on‑site role in Fort Worth, TX requires close collaboration with business units to translate requirements into solid technical specifications while delivering clean, well‑documented code and supporting modernization efforts within enterprise security standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business units to translate their requirements into clear technical specifications.
• Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code.
• Refactor legacy code to modern, standardized approaches.
• Ensure code adheres to enterprise security standards and best practices.
• Manage the code repository and ensure proper check‑in/out processes.
• Participate in enterprise change management and testing activities.
• Test code for compatibility with enterprise infrastructure and perform unit testing.
• Provide after‑hours support and troubleshooting for development‑related outages.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field OR an additional 3 years of specific work experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant technical work experience.
• Strong proficiency in T‑SQL programming.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft SQL Server.
• Good knowledge of HTML and JavaScript.
• Three years of experience with Transparent Data Encryption (TDE).
• Three years of experience with SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Analysis Services.

Other

• The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and drug testing.
• The position may require occasional travel (<25%) to company sites in the US or internationally to participate in onsite business or technical meetings.
• If based in a city with VSE facilities, the role will require working from the office at least two days per week.
