Employment Consultant - Job Coach, Job Developer

ADEC Inc. is looking for an Employment Consultant (Job Coach, Job Developer) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Elkhart and St. Joseph County. This onsite role helps clients move toward meaningful work while strengthening employer relationships in the local community.

The role is also a strong fit for someone with experience in HR, staffing, or a genuine interest in serving individuals with IDD.

What you’ll do

• Talk with your client about what meaningful work looks like for them
• Support job search activities, including interviewing and onboarding
• Help mentor both clients and employers to support successful job placements
• Identify employment opportunities aligned with an individual’s goals and abilities
• Advocate with area employers for each person’s abilities and desire for employment
• Partner with employers to address their hiring needs
• Build new employer partnerships by sharing the value and rewards of employing individuals with IDD
• Contribute to a positive impact for an often overlooked population, strengthening the local community and economy

Who you are

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Experience working with the IDD population
• Drive to meet with employers and create employment opportunities

Compensation

• Hourly wage: USD 17–19
• Compensation details: 18.5–19.5 hourly wage
• Starting pay: $17.50–$18.50
