Job Description
Overview
We are seeking an experienced EDI Developer III to design, implement, and support EDI integrations with internal systems and external trading partners. The role requires strong technical expertise, problem solving skills, and the ability to work independently on moderately complex projects. This is an on site position near Birmingham, Alabama, and relocation to the South Eastern Alabama area is required. The client does not offer sponsorship. US citizenship or a Green Card is required.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain EDI maps and interfaces
- Configure file transfer protocols such as AS2, SFTP, and FTP
- Coordinate partner onboarding and testing
- Troubleshoot EDI transactions and workflows
- Document processes, data flows, and specifications
- Support system monitoring and vendor updates
Required Skills
- EDI standards: ANSI X12, XML, JSON, APIs
- SQL/database experience
- Mapping and translation expertise
- Tools: Sterling Integrator, Syncrofy, or similar
- Programming: BPML, Java, RPG (preferred)
- Strong communication and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Integration experience with APIs/VANs
- Logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry background
- Experience leading projects or mentoring
Experience
- EDI: 5 years (Required)
- EDI development teams: 3 years (Required)
- MS SQL: 1 year (Required)
- COBOL or RPG Free: 1 year (Required)
- Trucking: 1 year (Preferred)
Education
- Bachelor's (Preferred)
Relocation and Location
- Relocation to Birmingham, AL required; relocate before starting work

Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per hour
