Contract Mobile App Developer

Contract Mobile App Developer needed to assume ownership of an approximately 50% complete app and drive it through launch on both iOS and Android, then continue maintenance and feature development.

Responsibilities

• Take over and get up to speed on an existing mobile app and its codebase
• Complete the remaining work required to bring the application to launch
• Develop, maintain, and support the app for both iOS and Android
• Build and integrate with existing APIs, cloud infrastructure, and third-party integrations
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and technical issues
• Independently manage the technical development of the application as the sole developer
• Provide ongoing maintenance, updates, bug fixes, and future feature development after launch

Requirements

• Strong experience with React and React Native
• Experience developing and launching applications on both iOS and Android
• Full-stack development experience
• Comfortable taking over an existing codebase and independently working through unfamiliar code
• Experience working with APIs and cloud-based infrastructure
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience taking an app from development through launch
• Comfortable providing ongoing post-launch maintenance and support
